Hendrix-Barnhill installed water, sewer, fire water, and storm sewer as part of the Greenville Utilities Commission’s new Center of Operations. Additionally, Hendrix-Barnhill installed a pump station that was required to be set 32ft deep. Thanks to the knowledge and experience of our project team we were able to install both the pump station as well as the water sewer, fire water, and storm sewer systems safely and efficiently. Hendrix-Barnhill was hired as a subcontractor to Barnhill Contracting Co.
Hendrix-Barnhill relocated over 3,500ft of 10” waterline as part of a bridge replacement project. Using our Vermeer 60x90S3, we completed two directional drills, the first being a 1,500ft shot of 12” HDPE under the Neuse River, and the second being a 1,100ft shot of 10” PVC beside the Neuse River overflow bridge. Hendrix-Barnhill had to complete the waterline in two separate sections, with over 700ft of open cut pipe, with two separate tie-ins to make, and completed it within schedule. Hendrix-Barnhill was hired as a subcontractor to Sanford Contractors LLC.
Hendrix-Barnhill replaced both water and sewer lines at MCAS Cherry Point along 5th and 6th Avenues as well as around hangars as part of a flight line utility modernization project.
Hendrix-Barnhill relocated sewer and water mains in downtown Greenville as part of a complicated storm sewer improvement project. The project was complicated due to both the congestion of underground utilities in the downtown area as well as the age of some of the utilities (some had been in service for 100 years or more). Working in such a high traffic area and near the ECU campus, it was of the upmost importance that we maintained schedule. Working closely with our client, Trader Construction, we were able to complete the project efficiently and on schedule.
